Spray Polyurethane Foam Systems

Spray Foam roofing

Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) is a type of roofing commonly used on flat roofs. An SPF system has several advantages over conventional roofing methods. SPF systems add insulation value while only adding minimal weight. The system uses a foundation of closed cell foam that is sprayed over any number of substrates. Once the foam is sprayed, an elastomeric coating is sprayed over the foam to protect the foam from harmful UV rays. With the application of the second coating the roof can typically be warranted for 10-15 years. An SPF system is considered a green roof since it adds insulation value and in most cases, the existing roof does not have to be torn off, which saves costs of debris removal, and keeps landfills from filling up as fast.
